The Zoom Lens is a held item that was introduced in Generation IV. Strangely, its affect was changed between its games of origin and following games.

Usage

While the Zoom Lens's effect is always activated by the holder moving after the opponent, the actual boost it provides is altered between games. In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the holder's critical hit ratio is boosted by the item. In following games, however, it boosts the holder's Accuracy stat by 20%.
