Vertress City is an anime-exclusive city located in Unova, more specifically located near Opelucid City. As the city that hosts the Vertress Conference, it has numerous battling facilities for Trainers to compete in. It also has several small villages that provide lodgings for the participating Trainers.
In the anime, Cynthia first mentioned the city in BW100: Beauties Battling for Pride and Prestige! to inform Ash of the conference location. Ash and his friends arrived in the city in BW105, and met up with several other familiar faces that were also competing, including Cameron, Bianca, and Stephan.
