Japanese Name Translation

Where the Japanese name of the episode is in the template, should we also include the literal English translation under it? We have it said in the episode guide pages, but nowhere in the episode pages itself. I know making a change to this template would then result in a wide area of affect change and thus requiring small edits on all episode pages. What are your thoughts on it though? Maybe, it should just be in the first sentence of the page where it has the Japanese name in parentheses? Rahfal (talk) 17:19, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

We used to have both the Japanese kanji, or whatever you call it, and romanization next to it, like
'''ライバルバトル!強敵プルリル!''' ''Rival Battle! Pururiru formidable enemy!''

It must have gotten dropped a while ago. I personally think most pages should have a translation of the Japanese in the infobox so people actually know what it means. So I say it's a good idea. – Crimsonnavy T  S  18:35, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Ok, sounds good to me. However, this template is protected, so would you be able to add this in? I can start to add the the translations to the previous anime episodes. Rahfal (talk) 19:05, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
I can edit it or we can just add it to the jname field, most of the other templates just do that. Which way do you want it? – Crimsonnavy T  S  19:32, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
I didn't think about simply adding it in the jname field. If most other templates do that, I don't see a problem in it. In fact, it helps so that the pages that use the template don't look messy with template coding. I can simply go through and and a break tag under the Japanese name and then add the translation afterwards. I'll do that to BW121: Meowth, Colress and Team Rivalry!! since I just finished that out. Let me know what you think of it. Rahfal (talk) 19:49, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
Looks great! Well worded and the format is nice. – Crimsonnavy T  S  19:55, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
Thanks you! I'll be trying to do the same with most of the anime episodes when I have time and hopefully get a good chunk done before X and Y's release (as we'll all be busy with that then, haha). Rahfal (talk) 20:08, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Current Episode Number Bold, Please?

There are some episodes where the "current" field is bold while others aren't. I personally like having it bold, because with other links to pages we're currently already on they appear bold on the wiki. So, could we have this template edited so that it bolds on it's own instead of us having to bold them all? Thanks! Rahfal (talk) 13:22, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Done. – Crimsonnavy T  S  13:50, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Thanks! However, with your recent edit to this template (after you replied here), it is no longer bold. Was that a decision on your part or a mistake when making some changes to the template? Rahfal (talk) 14:33, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, bad copy/paste, I forgot to readd it when adding a table to balance out the nav. I fixed it. – Crimsonnavy T  S  16:08, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Difference Between Template:Episode and Template:Anime?

What exactly is the difference between these two templates, if any? Rahfal (talk) 13:37, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Episode is the one to be used, Anime was what the redesign is based on. Instead of changing all of Episode templates to Anime, I modified Episode a while ago so we didn't have to. I guess I just forgot to change the Anime templates back to episode. – Crimsonnavy T  S  13:50, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Ok, I'll go ahead and redo the ones I've created recently that used the Anime template, as it seems like it's been used in the BW lately. Rahfal (talk) 13:53, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Hover Effect On Badges

I know in the Anime template we can name our images for the badges, but in the Episode template we cannot. Is there a way you could easily make this possible? If not, it's fine. Thanks! Rahfal (talk) 19:01, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

You should be able to add any badge or symbol by using the b1, b2, b3, etc. fields, see DP163: Fighting Ire With Fire! for what I mean. – Crimsonnavy T  S  20:01, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
I know of the fields, I'm referring to adding text so that when you hover over the image, words appear. Normally, you can do that with [[File:Image here.png|Caption of image here]] When using the b1, b2, etc. fields, you only need to give the file path name and thus are not able to provide a "caption." Rahfal (talk) 20:07, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Oop, misread, was double-tasking. I'll add the caption field and I might as well add a link field too. – Crimsonnavy T  S  20:14, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
