Rufflet (Japanese: ワシボン Washibon) is a Normal/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V that is exclusive to Pokémon White. Its evolved form is Braviary, which it evolves into it at level 54. Rufflet is modeled after a baby eagle, and is always male.

Appearance[]

Rufflet is a small shaggy bird. He has quite a big head size than his body. The head has shaggy creamy coloured outer fur. His inner part of the head is blue, with a red spike at the top. He has sharp, black eyes, with white pupils. His neck fur is like a creamy, wooly scarf and his wing and its little body are a lovely blue. He has fairly big size feet, like any other bird.

Origin[]

Its Japanese name 'Washibon' is possibly derived from 'Washi' meaning eagle in Japanese, or the Filipino word 'ibon' meaning bird. In addition it sounds phonetically similar to 'Washington'.
