Powder (Japanese: ふんじん Dust) is a Bug-type move introduced in the Generation VI games, Pokémon X and Y. It is the signature move of Vivillon.

Effect
In battle
Powder prevents the targeted Pokémon from using any Fire-type moves on the user and its allies. If the targeted Pokémon attempts to use a Fire-type move, it will take 25% damage based upon their maximum HP instead of using the move.
However, if the targeted Pokémon uses a move that would thaw themselves, such as Flame Wheel, the user is still thawed but the move does not execute on the user or its allies.
This move does not work against Grass-type Pokémon, Pokémon with the ability Overcoat, and any Pokémon holding the item Safety Goggles.
Outside of battle
Powder has no affect outside of battle.
