Game info

In battle

Play Nice lowers the targeted Pokémon's Attack by one (1) stage. Its accuracy and evasion can never be modified. It bypasses and hits Pokémon that uses the move Protect, Detect, or Spiky Shield. However, this move will fail if the targeted Pokémon uses the move Crafty Shield.

Outside of battle

Play Nice has no affect outside of battle.

Version(s) Description
X/Y The user and the target become friends, and the target loses its will to fight. This lowers the target's Attack stat.
