Metronome (ゆびをふる Wag Finger) is a unique Normal-type move. The Pokémon uses one random attack, which could be any move in the entire game, including moves that are specific to certain Pokèmon.
Effect[]
In Battle[]
The user waggles a finger and stimulates the brain into randomly using nearly any move.
Contests[]
Can be repeatedly used without boring the judge.
Super Contests[]
Makes the order of contestants random in the next turn.
Metronome (item)
Seperate from the move Metronome there is also a hold item named Metronome, it has the effect of boosting power of moves used repeatedly. Each time a move is used consecutively, its power is boosted by 10%, increasing up to a maximum of 100%. Switching or using another move returns the move's power to normal.
Trivia[]
- In music, a Metronome is a device that is used to help musicians keep at a steady pace. The instrument has an "arm" that moves in a back and forth motion which was the inspiration for how the Pokémon move requires it to move its fingers in the said motion.
- It is unknown if the moves that can be used include moves that come from Mystery Gift events, like V-Create and Ice Burn.
