Magmortar is the evolved form of Magmar and the final evolutionary form of Magby. Magmar evolves into Magmortar when it is traded while holding the item Magmarizer.
*Magmortar looks similiar to a fiery chicken due to its legs and body. It is also possble to argue that it seems duck-like due to its bill-shaped mouth and legs.

*Magmortar is the only Fire type Pokemon that in both the anime and most likely in the video games that doesn't breath out fire from its mouth. Unlike the other fire Pokemon like Charizard and its previous evolution Magmar, both of which breath fire from their mouths, Magmortar uses its very large arm cannons to blast out moves such as Flamethrower, Hyper Beam, and maybe Thunderbolt. It's possible that it just uses its body to send out Thunderbolt.

Games
Magmortar is a Generation IV Pokémon, first appearing in the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games. Its pre-evolved form Magmar is a Generation I Pokémon, meaning that it is not possible for Magmar to evolve unless it is in a Generation IV or higher, as Magmortar did not exist in the previous games.
