Inkay (Japanese: マーイーカ Maaiika) is a dual-type Dark/Psychic Pokémon, introduced in the Generation VI games, Pokémon X and Y. It evolves into Malamar starting at level 35, while holding the Nintendo 3DS upside down.

- The method behind Inkay's evolution to Malamar (holding the Nintendo 3DS upside down) is unique in comparison to all other methods of Pokémon evolution.
- The aforementioned method in which Inkay evolves would have been impossible to implement without the Nintendo 3DS motion-sensing and gyroscope technology.
- No other Pokémon besides Inkay's evolution, Malamar, have the same dual-typing of Dark/Psychic.
- Inkay and it's evolved form, Malamar, are the only two Pokémon who are part of the Water 2 Egg Group that is not at least part Water-type.
