Trivia[]
Facts[]
- Heliolisk, and it's pre-evolution, Helioptile, are the only Pokémon with the dual-typing of Electric/Normal.
- It is the only Pokémon to evolve from a Sun Stone from which it's pre-evolution (Helioptile) is not a Grass-type.
Design origins[]
Heliolisk is based on a fill-necked lizard, due to it's ability to expand the frills around its neck.
Etymology[]
Heliolisk's name come from the words Helios, the ancient greek personification of the sun, heliophile, something attracted to sunlight and basilisk, a mythological reptile.
