Goodra (Japanese: ヌメルゴン Numerugon) is a Dragon-type Pokémon, introduced in the Generation VI games, Pokémon X and Y. It is the final evolution of Goomy.

  • Goodra is the only pseudo-legendary Pokémon that is resistant to a type, due to one of its abilities, rather than of its own typing.
  • Goodra has the highest Special Defense base stat of all Dragon-type Pokémon.
  • Goodra shares the same species name with Horsea, Dratini, their evolutions, and Salamence.
  • Goodra's stats are all twice as much as Goomy's and Sliggo's being half of Goodra's, rounded up.

Design origins[]

Goodra is based off of the Lou Carcolh, a mythical creature of French origin that supposedly possesses both serpent and mollusk features.

Etymology[]

Goodra's name is based off the words goo and either hydra, a mythical type of dragon, or dragon.
