Butterfree and Me! (サトシとバタフリー!また会う日まで!!Satoshi and Butterfree! Until the Day We Meet Again!!) is the 789th episode of the Pokémon anime series. In this episode, Ash and his friend's arrive on an island known for it being a resting place for migrating Pokémon.

Characters and Items

  • Throughout many scenes, Ash's eyes are colored black instead of brown.
  • When all of the Metapod are evolving, Ash's makes a statement that he hasn't seen this many Metapod evolve at once before. However, this is false due to him witness mass Metapod evolution in the fourth movie: Pokémon 4Ever - Celebi: Voice of the Forest.
  • While reading a magazine while Metapod is sleeping, Ash's Pikachu's right cheek is colored pink and Metapod's eyelid is incorrectly located.
  • When Team Rocket is giving their motto, a shot of their Meowth balloon is shown, but its ears are cream colored instead of having the black border it should have.
  • In one of the scenes of Team Rocket's control panel in the balloon, one of the screens of the control panel is gone.
  • During the blasting off of Team Rocket, Jessie's Woobat and James' Amoonguss are missing.

  • Who's That Pokémon? is Butterfree (Japan and US/international).
  • Professor Oak's Pokémon Live Caster is Zweilous.
  • This marks the episode where all of Ash's original Pokémon (Butterfree, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Pidgeotto, Pikachu, and Squirtle) have appeared in the Best Wishes! series.
  • The Butterfree in this episode all appear to be female, due to not having purple spots on their wings as in the video games. This may be either a mistake on the artists or intentional (not correlating the game to the anime in this regard).
