BW104: Team Eevee and the Pokémon Rescue Squad! (チーム・イーブイ出動せよ！ポケモンレスキュー隊！) is the 761st episode of the Pokémon anime series. This episode features the protagonist trio encountering a fellow Unova League challenger, Virgil.

Episode Plot[]

Almost to their destination, the Unova League in Vertress City, Ash and friends encounter a rock slide that prevents their continuation. The gang attempts to climb over, but the rocks give way and the gang is sent tumbling. A trainer appears and calls out an Espeon and saves the gang using Psychic. The trainer introduces himself as Virgil. Virgil goes on to say that he, along with his brother, Davey, and his father, Jeff, have taken it upon themselves to protect their town from disasters. They call themselves the Pokémon rescue squad and Virgil's team is named Team Eevee, consisting of Eevee and it evolutions. Virgil also mentions he plans to enter the Unova League.

Virgil takes the gang to see several different Pokémon and introduces his whole team; Eevee, Espeon, Umbreon, Jolteon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Leafeon and Glaceon. The conversation is cut short when Davey appears in a helicopter warning of an incident. Virgil runs to see his father who tells them something is wrong at the dam.

Davey is on the scene in an attempt to break away the ice that has encased the dam. Davey manages to get into the control room and finds several of the workers trapped inside. After talking to them, a noise is heard outside and a Cryogonal attacks, freezing the door and trapping Davey and the workers inside. Davey calls Virgil and Jeff and briefs them on the situation. Virgil determines that he will help his brother with his team and departs with Ash and gang.

The dam has been completely covered in ice as the gang arrives. Using team work, Virgil's Flareon, Umbreon and Vaproeon make en opening for the gang to enter the building. Using Umbreon for light, the gang finds their way to the generator and restarts it using Jolteon's Thunderbolt. After using the elevator and talking to a worker, the gang heads back outside to take on the group of Cryogonal. Ash's Pignite takes on the Ice-types, but can't stand up to their powerful attacks.

It's left up to Virgil who uses Eevee's Helping Hand to power up Flareon. Using Flareon, the Cryogonal are stopped and reunited with a smaller member of their ranks and depart. Davey thanks Virgil and Virgil hugs Eevee. The groups finishes up by melting away the remaining ice.

Ash and friends begin to depart as they say goodbye to the rescue family. Everyone waves as Ash and gang continue on to the League, knowing Ash now has another rival to compete with.
