Aurorus (Japanese: アマルルガ Amaruruga) is a dual-type Rock/Ice Fossil Pokémon, introduced in Generation VI games, Pokémon X and Y, that can only be obtained by evolving it from Amaura after resurrecting it from a Sail Fossil. It is the final evolution of Amaura.

Design origins
Aurorus is based on any of the numerous sauropods, in particular the Amargasurus.
Etymology
Aurorus's name is likely based on Amargasaurus, a sauropod from the Early Cretaceous period, and the word aurora.
