Surskit (Japanese: アメタマ Ametama) is a Bug/Water-type Pokémon. Its special ability is Swift Swim. It appears as if its skating on water. It draws prey with a sweet scent from the tip of its head.

Surskit has no pre-evolutionary stage, and evolves into Masquerain at level 22.

They gather on puddles after evening downpours, gliding across the surface of water as if sliding. It secretes honey with a sweet aroma from its head.

They usually live on ponds, but after an evening shower, they may appear on puddles in towns.

  • Surskit are the first and currently only known Bug/Water-types.
  • Surskit is possibly one of the only Bug-types that Cerulean City Gym Leader Misty might not be afraid of (possibly even like), due their also being a Water-type.
  • In Swedish, "sur" translates to "acidic".
  • Surskit is the only Pokémon that loses its Water type upon evolution.
  • Surskit is also the only Pokémon with unique type combination, whose evolution does not have a unique type combination.
  • Surskit is the first non-fossil Pokemon that is part Water but hasWater as its secondary type.
